previous violin playing or fiddling experience. It
consists of written music for 32 fiddle tunes as
played by award winning fiddler Ryan Thomson along
with two CDs, each an hour long. Each tune is
played with several variations, at slow, and
normal speeds. Unlike ordinary tune books, this
book includes both a basic written version and
also several other variations for each tune as
played on the CDs. Each tune includes comments
about its origins and style, suggested chords for
accompaniment, and song lyrics for tunes with
