Mickey de Rham founded the White Mountain Animal League in
1989. She has been involved in animal welfare work for 40 years, beginning in
Westchester County, N.Y. Author Roger Caras encouraged her with the nonprofit
WMAL and wrote to her that "spaying/neutering is the only way to address
the horrific problem of overpopulation of pet animals and the subsequent death
of over six million animals every year in animal shelters." |
